Today was arrival day!

We made it down safely to Santiago, landing around 12:30.  All our luggage made it as well.  The group is healthy but tired.  We came back to Rich and Holly's house to get unpacked and eat some lunch.  After lunch we drove to La Yaguita to meet with Pastor Ramon.  Pastor Ramon pastor's the Vallette's first church plant in a very poor section of the city.  The Hilltown work crews from 2001 and 2003 helped to build his family a home on the second floor of the church building.  Hilltown's Early Church Sunday School class made a project of purchasing study books and commentaries for him and were able to bring down about 20 books as a gift.  He was very appreciative.  Richie said that Pastor Ramon is an avid reader and will devour and cherish the material.  It was also a nice experience because 7 of the 9 crew members this year are from the Early Church Class.

After our visit to La Yaguita we drove to the current church plant in Los Girsolas ("The Missionary" can't really remember how to spell this either.) to plan out the week.  It was exciting to see how far the church has come in the year since we were down last. The first floor is painted and has doors and windows.  The doors were a gift from the Hilltown Vacation Bible School children this past year.  We did get some work done and laid a few blocks.

Right now were back at the Vallette's, showered and waiting for our dinner.  Thank you all for your prayers and love.  Please pray for good weather and good health.
