It
was another sunny 86 degree day today in Santiago. I (Gene) had a
rough day with a bit of sickness and crashed in the afternoon for a nap
(at least that's what I told the other guys and they believed me!)
After some aspirin, CIPRO (known to kill anything including
anthrax), and a shower I was able to keep down some white rice.
All systems appear to be a go. Please pray for the health
of the team. Fred and Nate have bad head colds.
The crew finished the block walls at Los Girasoles and the hand railing
for the steps. We're clipping along on the projects. Ad and
Fred went up to La Yaguita to visit Pastor Ramon and take inventory for
the projects there. Tomorrow we have to do some trenching through
concrete for sewage drainage. This will be for the bathrooms that
we built last year. Then we have some concrete pillars to
construct as added support for Ramon's house roof. It will be a
full day.
Holly and Kassandra will be home tomorrow. Richie and Buddy will be very happy and our bachelor days are over!
