For several years, US supporters of the Vallettes have been visiting the Santiago area of the Dominican Republic to minister with them for God's glory and His growing church in that place.   With the help of modern technology and a few extra hours to spare, we've been able to chronicle the trips in "real time" using the internet for the folks back home to keep track of loved ones who are away and be able to better pray for the team as they work.  Please feel free to browse and see what God can accomplish through the efforts of His people.  Below are links to the current trip as well as previous trips.
Scroll down through this page to see more information on the country and specific areas where we will be ministering.

The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean nation which shares its land mass with Haiti. Santiago is a large city located in the north central portion of the island.

The Vallettes are about the ministry of church planting.  Their first plant was in an area of Santiago called La Yaguita.  For the past two years, the team has been helping to build a new church building at the second plant site in Los Girasoles.  The picture below is a static satellite image of the location of the work project.  You can follow the red line in the direction that the team would drive to the site.  The red "X" marks the spot!  This image was taken before the building was erected.  The plot of ground to the left of the building is still a vacant lot and the building to the right is a pharmacy and hair salon.  To the left of the intersection and across from the church plot is a triangular building.  This is a convenience store of sorts where we can buy soda and drinking water during the day.

The image below is of the neighborhood of La Yaguita.  This is the area of the Vallettes last church plant.  Pastor Ramon and his family now minister to the people there.  The church building is circled in red.  His home and office are on the second floor and the area to the right is a basketball court for the neighborhood children.  The red line is the "back way in" that Richie likes to take in the Jeep.  You can watch a video of this experience by clicking HERE.
